does college lax have future schedules like college football does?
No, Pride. Football is really the only sport that does that. Other sports’ non-conference schedules are done annually, but do include some non-conference home-and-home rotating commitments. As new schedules are released, we will post them here. So be sure to check this link each day.
Schedules for Princeton and Hofstra have just been released and have been added to the main body of this post.
Loyola will debut its new 6,000-seat stadium, the Ridley Intercollegiate Athletic Complex, on March 13 vs. Duke.
Loyola’s 2010 schedule was just released and is now up in the main body of this thread.
Dartmouth has quite a few players from the region. For a fall-ball look at the Big Green, check out this story by former Bronxville standout Dan Lentz on InsideLacrosse.com. Dan is now a freshman at Dartmouth.

Duke, Marist, St. John’s and Bryant schedules are now up. Check the main body for the links to them.
who are the detroit titans are they d1
Indeed, Ziggie. Detroit joined the MAAC (with Siena, Manhattan, Marist, etc.) this past May. Further evidence of the expansion of lax beyond the traditonal East Coast corridor. Detroit’s biggest claim to fame as a D-I program has come in basketball. In fact, Dick Vitale coached the Titans before becoming coach of the Detroit Pistons, prior to “getting a TO, baby” and joining ESPN.
Links to schedules for Fairfield and Vermont have been added to the main body of this post.
Stony Brook’s schedule was released today. You can check out the link to it by scrolling up to the main body of this post.

Looks like we have another college lax rape scandal. This one in our backyard at Sacred Heart…

Coach Brian Brecht has done a great job putting together a nice schedule for Siena. Joe … thanks for updating this link with all the schedules as they’re released.
Manhattan will be playing on national TV for the first time when it opens the season at Johns Hopkins on ESPNU. The Jaspers’ schedule was released today and is linked in the main body of this post above.
Two-time defending national champion Syracuse will open the season at the Carrier Dome against Denver as former Princeton coach Bill Tierney makes his debut as Denver coach.
The Orange released their schedule today for their first season in the brand-new Big East Lacrosse Conference. Be sure to check it out by scrolling up to the link for it in the main body of this post.
Albany released its 2010 schedule today. You can check it out by scrolling up to the link for it in the main body of this post.
Speaking of college lax, be sure to check our latest poll question.
Speaking of Albany, they received commitments from both of the younger Thompson brothers as well as their cousin. They might be a force in a few years.
And as for the poll, I hear that English has been doing exceptional in preseason practice and is expected to start alongside Steele Stanwick and Chris Bocklet. With losses on the UVA attack to graduation he’s expected to step up and be a solid contributer as with Matt White, although it seems that English will get the starting spot. 3 out of the 4 top UVA attackmen are from the region.
Colgate released its 2010 schedule today. Scroll up to check the link.
Hear 3 Rye kids (McCreddie (M), Barton (A) and Collins (LSM) playing with strong LI Sting Team (kids from St. A, Manhaset, Cham, etc) at Tar Heel Shootout at Chapel Hill, NC this weekend.
Frank Vitolo of Division II national champion C.W. Post was named Intercollegiate Mens Lacrosse Coaches Association assistant coach of the year. Here’s more:

Congrats Coach Vitolo!!!
Congrats to coach Vitola. The best coach I ever had and total class act!!
Wow – nice job getting all these college skeds up. Between this and the HS sked link you just posted, I’m writing in games to attend now in my new 2010 datebook.
Nice being able to check out all these skeds in one spot. Thanks for the hook up J-Lo.
ESPN and its family of networks will be broadcasting more college lax than ever this coming season.
For a look at the schedule, check this report from InsideLacrosse.com:

Nice schedule of games on ESPN!
most these game are on espnu and cablevision does not carry it. Come on Joe pull some strings and get us more lax on cablevision.
radlax
I second that one for sure
with the quarters at Princeton and Stony Brook, and the championships back at Baltimore (where they belong in my view) it’s quite easy for folks to actually go out and see the games live. NCAA championship weekend, during Memorial Day weekend, is about the best sports value around.
Start of college lax coming up real fast. Great job putting all these together Joe!
We’ve talked quite a bit here about how special the lacrosse community is. Here’s another example. Check out this story from InslideLacrosse.com’s Sean Burns on Bellarmine coach Jack McGetrick’s battle with cancer:
http://blogs.insidelacrosse.com/2010/01/06/coming-together-the-lacrosse-community-shows-its-true-colors-in-support-of-bellarmines-jack-mcgetrick/
Some nice games to look forward to early on.
It’s almost time. Thanks for providing all these links Joe.
Season kicks off on ESPNU February 19th when Manhattan plays Hopkins. Great exposure for Manhattan!
