I couldn’t publish this till now.
The reason?
Well, I couldn’t exactly present an “Early fall commitment rundown” until it was actually early fall. (OK, OK, fall won’t officially be arriving till early Tuesday morning, but that’s close enough.)
Now it is.
So here now is a rundown of commitments of seniors and juniors from throughout the Hudson Valley/Connecticut/Long Island region.

When did Zack Waldman commit to Tufts? How do these D3 prospects know they are into the school before they get the acceptance letter? It is not Division one where you are 100% to get accepted. Isn’t it risky to say they are in now?
IF they rell you to go early decision you are 90% in
Where did you get that number from? What is your source for that
a coach checks with addmisions and if your grades are up to par then they will tell you to go early decision. Addmisions basically tells the coach they are in.
Meatball is correct for the most part, although not sure about the early decision statistic. For NESCAC schools like Tufts the coach can run the transcript and standardized test scores by admissions to get a green light then will emphasize to the recruit how important it is to take the application and essays seriously when they apply early decision. Admissions is not guaranteed but for the few recruits that the coach is supporting, it’s highly likely.
Four for Army and Coach Alberici
Go Black Knights!!
Joe … I was on the Stamford Advocate web site for an online chat on HS football and your name came up when they were talking about MSG’s new Varsity channel and someone posted “Joe is the man.” haha. Your everywhere.
Good to hear, Wave.
As for football, I know Fairfield Warde had a big shutout win over the Blue Wave. New Canaan looks pretty impressive. Ridgefield has a major D-I lineman. Greenwich is strong as always.
Joe, Can you talk about Zack Waldman and Tufts?
Sure. When it comes to quality academic/athletic lacrosse programs, Tufts takes a backseat to no one.
For that reason, Tufts is a great fit for Zack.
Tufts is coming off a strong season in which former Greeley standout Matt Witko was a key contributor.
A bit surprising WI doesn’t have more than three D-I seniors commits.
Joe, Any updates on Daniello? Has he narrowed his choices down?
Lax18 –
Nothing’s changed since my last report. The finalists are UNC, Hopkins and Syracuse and a decision could come by the end of the month or thereabouts.
Christian Kennedy is going to Georgetown
Great job getting all this info Joe.
Real interesting matching the names with the colleges. Great job Joe!
