The varsity lacrosse coach at an elite tristate private school says that he was fired while the players who used fake IDs to purchase alcohol during a Florida training trip received slaps on the wrist in a wrongful termination lawsuit

Brooks Sweet (left), former coach at Poly Prep in Brooklyn  who calls himself “one of the greatest lacrosse players of all-time” in court papers — says he was scapegoated by administrators who wanted to keep parents as donors following the incident on the trip March 18-24.

During the trip, more than a dozen Poly Prep players took Ubers to liquor stores, used fake IDs to buy alcohol and then returned to an artificial beach area at the complex they were staying.

There, they partied, sometimes with players from others schools joining after purchasing alcohol from Poly Prep players, the New York Post reported.
