Just like her boss, Hope Hicks is a political newcomer.

Unlike presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, she’s a former lacrosse player.

The 27-year-old Hicks, who helped the varsity girls lacrosse team at Greenwich High School win a Connecticut state championship, played club lacrosse at Southern Methodist University.

“She is highly intelligent and brought that to the field in every game … When needed, she carried the team and would score, but preferred to have assists,” her former lacrosse coach Liz Holmes said in an interview with the Washington Post. “She was the ultimate team player and competitor.”

Also a swimmer and golfer, Hicks pursued acting and modeling as a teen and even appeared on the TV soap opera “Guiding Light.”

Hicks worked in public relations for the fashion line of Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, before moving over to Trump’s presidential campaign when he announced his candidacy in June of last year.

She is now known as Trump’s gatekeeper since she handles all media requests for coverage and interviews and also the “Mystery Woman” of the Trump campaign because she has not yet granted any interviews.

Hicks’ father, Paul Hicks III, who was an aide to former CT sen. Lowell Weicker, served as NFL’s executive vice president of communications before becoming managing director at the Glover Park Group, a communications consulting firm. A former town councilman, he was captain of the first varsity lacrosse team at Greenwich High School, where he graduated in 1975.
