Saturday, it will be an All-New York Major League Lacrosse final between the Rochester Rattles and Long Island Lizards.
In this case, as the No. 1 source for lacrosse in the NY/NJ/CT tristate hotspot, we can’t help but have an opinion.
And we’re backing it up with action.
Our own Joe Lombardi has accepted a wager from our friends at Just Lacrosse Upstate.
When — ok, if — the Rattlers lose, Dennis Pettit and the gang at justlacrosse.com have pledged to send Joe’s way three pounds of Zweigle’s Hot Dogs, Rochester’s finest, along with a bag of Hinerwadel’s Salt Potatoes, another upstate staple.
In the (very) unlikely event the Lizards were to lose, Joe has countered with an offer of two live Montauk lobsters that will make their way from the shores of the Atlantic Ocean to the shores of Lake Ontario.
Game-time is Saturday at 7 p.m. at Fifth Third Bank Stadium in Atlanta with CBS Sports Network providing live coverage.
