We’re at the height of summer recruiting and that was front and center on the latest edition of the “Tristate Lacrosse Spotlight with Joe Lombardi” online radio show/podcast on Sunday.
The show, which aired live, is now available on iTunes.
Former Yorktown (NY) and Syracuse University All-America and ESPN analyst Paul Carcaterra (left), the co-director of the Maverik Showtime National Recruiting Spotlight, joins Joe to lead off the show. Standout players from Wednesday’s Showtime all-star games will also be appearing on the show.
Also on Sunday’s show were Yale University incoming freshman midfielder John Daniggelis of Smithtown East (NY) and Cheshire High School (CT) rising sophomore attackman and Loyola University commit Jack Raba.
Daniggelis earned the Ray Ennis Award as Suffolk’s outstanding player, the US Lacrosse Bob Scott Award as the player who goes above and beyond in service to his school, team and community and, as football quarterback (pictured below), was named MVP of the Boomer Esiason Empire Challenge at Hofstra University, also known as the “Boomer Bowl.”
Raba had one goal and three assists to lead Team Maverik to a 10-8 win over Team Cascade in the Maverik Showtime 2018 all-star game last Wednesday night.
