The final game of the seventh annual Long Island Showcase last Friday at Farmingdale State wound up being thisclose. That’s because Nassau and Suffolk played to a 9-9 tie in the Class of 2018 game in a game declared a tie after one four-minute overtime resulted in no scoring.

Jake Wandel of Rocky Point tied it for Suffolk with just over a minute to go in regulation. Nassau had taken 9-8 lead on goal by Tyler Wuchte (Garden City) with four minutes left.
