Quinn O’Reilly was already familiar with Sacred Heart University’s lacrosse program before he began being recruited by the Pioneers.
That’s because Connor O’Reilly, a senior attackman/midfielder at S. Anthony’s HS (NY), has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend SHU.
That will also be the collegiate destination of Quinn, a decision first reported when it was made by Joe Lombardi on LaxLessons.com’s Lacrosse Insider premium coverage section.
Quinn O’Reilly, a 6-foot, 164-pound righty attackman, is an outstanding feeder with superb field vision and instincts for the game.
Now, here’s a Q&A with Quinn on his commitment.
What are the main factors in your decision?
I like the coaching staff a lot. I also like their style of offense. Also my older brother is going to Sacred Heart.
What other schools did you visit/consider?
I visited Rutgers, Marist, St.John’s and Colgate. I also considered going to Rutgers, Marist and St.John’s.
What are your strengths as a player and how would you describe your style of play?
My strength in my game is feeding. I would describe my style of play as a dodge-and-feed type of game
What area of your game do you need to work on?
I need to work on my speed and quickness
How did you get introduced to lacrosse?
By my dad. He played college lacrosse for St. John’s.
