It’s Championship Day in NCAA Division I men’s lacrosse.
Defending champion Duke will be looking to make it two titles in a row when it takes on Notre Dame at 1 p.m.
The game, which will be played at M&T Bank Stadium in the sport’s proud and age-old traditional home base of Baltimore, will be shown on ESPN2.
Eamon McAnaney, Quint Kessenich and Paul Carcaterra are the announcers. During their college careers, Kessenich (Johns Hopkins), a Long Island native, and Carcaterra (Syracuse), who starred at Yorktown High School (N.Y.), both played in four NCAA championships and each won a national title with their respective teams.
Studio host Anish Shroff and analyst Ryan Boyle will be on-site at M&T Stadium with pregame and halftime reports. A special postgame show, anchored by Shroff and Boyle, will be shown on ESPNU starting at 3 p.m.
For those busy at the BBQ or beach, an encore presentation of the game will be shown on Monday at 9 p.m. on ESPNU.
The ESPN family of networks has covered 31 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championships since 1980 and this weekend marks the 20th consecutive year of televising the championship weekend games.
This weekend’s telecasts will use 13 cameras, including the Spider Cam and the High Speed Nac Camera, according to ESPN.
