Yorktown, which had six players named U.S. Lacrosse All-Americans, has three other standouts named to the All-Section 1 team for a total of nine honorees.
Bronxville, which upset defending New York State champion Shoreham-Wading in yesterday’s state semifinals, had eight players earn honors. The Broncos, the first Section 1 team to make the state finals since John Jay in 2007, will try to be just the third Section 1 squad to win state titles, joining Yorktown (six) and Mahopac (one).
Here’s the all-section team:

What about the honorable mention list?
Congrats to all the boys! Especially my Lakeland/Panas kids!
Who is player of the year section one.
In my opinion brian prestreau he came out big in every game
Someone from Bville should win this award
It would be hard to argue with Henry Grass. He’d be my choice. Prestreau and Mariano obviously would be at the top of any list as well.
Yeah top players for sure but gotta give the Bville kid the nod for getting to the finals
I agree mariano and grass had great years
But prestreau lead all goal scores in section 1
from the midfield every big game he hit is average of at least four goals every big game he played even bigger
Brian Prestreau played midfield and scored a lot. This was a very impressive year for him. I think he is far and away the Player of the Year.
Has anybody seen an Academic All American / Scholar Athlete list for Sec 1?

have the rosters been set/released yet for exceptional senior game? Is there a time and place for the game?
There is more to lacrosse than just score goal s ,there is riding take away’s ground ball. And of course the kid who is unselfish and can creates for his teammates. He is the guy who makes everyone else better.
I agree with that if you If you ever watched any of the games That he played in he does make everybody else better on his team you also does pick up a lot of ground balls he also is not a selfish player that’s why everybody else on that team has a lot of goals also
Section I has great and dynamic players. The individuals can not make plays on their own. An unassisted goal is not a goal that happens because you are the only one on the field. The kids who scores get the press, the defenders not so much. Could you win without the defense doing a solid job? Doubtful. Its the TEAM not the individual. Parents, time for you to stop chatting up your own kids. Those of us who know the game can tell what players contribute to the team and what they contribute. We also know how long the kids have been contributing to their teams. Just be happy the had the opportunity to play.
