Teams from throughout the region will be joining together for a good cause from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24.
That’s when the seventh annual Sticks for Soldiers Classic will be held at Fairfield Ludlowe High School’s Taft Field in Fairfield, Conn.
There are boys varsity , boys JV and girls varsity divisions.
Games will be played in a 7-on-7 format, with each team playing a minimum of three games. Girls games will be played in an 8-on-8 format.
All proceeds will benefit US Army Captain Gregory Galeazzi of Glastonbury, Conn., and USMC Cpl. (ret) Greg Caron of Ellington, Conn.

Donations on behalf of Ridgefield’s participation in the event may be sent by checks made out to Sticks for Soldiers/Fairfield and sent to PO Box 475, Fairfield, Conn. 06824.
Directions to Fairfield Ludlowe High School:
From I-95 North:
Take Exit 21, Mill Plain Road. Go left off the exit to the second stop sign. Then make a right onto Unquowa Road. Take a right to the next stop sign.
From I-95 South:
Take Exit 21m Mill Plain Road. Go right off the exit to the first stop sign. Then make a right onto Unquowa Road. Take a right to the next stop sign.
