His Stock was really on the rise after the Somers Game. I watched 2 D1 Big East coaches look at each other & say “that bkid can fly” He’ll need to come up big on Wed. @ Hofstra can’t wait
One downstate semifinal is set. It will be Bronxville vs. Shoreham-Wading River on Wednesday at 3:30 at Hofstra.
Great Match-Up! The ville’s gonna have their hands full with a team that dipatched BBP 14-4 a team that beat the ville in last yrs downstate semi’s at WhitePlains. Today SWR takes out CSH, WOW. And the game’s on LI. UpHill Battle ensues for the Ville
Wouldn’t put too much stock at all on SWR beating up BPBP, not a very strong team. Bville was better then them last season and should have won that game.
You keep saying bvlle should of beaten Bayport Blue Point last year. I was at that game. I remember that BPBP’s D shutdown the attack at the end of the game. bvlle didn’t move the ball they tried to beat BPBP’s D coming around from behind instead of feeding cutters. Trust me SWR will be just as tough. We will see Wed. It’s time for the ville to prove themselves. They really should win the state this yr with all that talent. Probably the best team in bvlle lax history. Anything less than a state championship will be a letdown
oops. looks like SWR burst the bronxville bubble.

Niskayuna has won every face-off in the first quarter in building a commanding 11-1 lead over Mamaroneck.
Impressive first-half display by Niskayuna. The Silver Warriors have a commanding 19-3 lead at the half..
Niskayuna has won all but one face-off, led by Williams College-bound Tanner MacIvor and Tyler Pantalone.
Nisky 13-1
13-2 Conley
Nisky 14-2
1-1. West Islip. Syosset end 1
Keep the updates coming.Thought it was live on msg.com, but I can’t find it. The LI championships are certainly more competitive then the Sect.1 vs 2. Whoever wins this game is gonna ROLL Nisky
Nisky 16-2

Nisky 18-3

Syosset leads West Islip 3-1 in the second quarter.
4-2 Syosset at the half.
WI has rallied to take a 5-4 lead late in the third quarter.
The Lions are on a roll. They now lead 11-4 in the fourth.
4-2 Sy. at half. WI not impressive at all so far.
Running out of juice pretty soon
Nisky 20-3 starters still in
21-3 they are playing our A champ Mamroneck
Nisky 22-3 end of 3
Niskayuna wins 23-3 over Mamaroneck and is hound for Hofstra. Coach Mike Vorgang gets career win No. 300.
A terrible and probably also embarrassing beating on Mamo BUT the program should not hang their heads as they accomplished alot this season without 2 of their best players (one missed 10 games).
No, Mamo has seen what an elite team is like to play and now they have to double their efforts on the junior front to continue to develop MORE high level players–no short-cuts. For example, pick out a few junior (age) kids and target them as future face-off kids–yes there are some “natural” lax players but this is a sport that can be learned. Also play good competitive lax during the summer AND SCHEDULE AS MANY TOUGH TEAMS AS POSSIBLE TO PLAY NEXT SEASON. Get on a bus to go to LI, CT or NJ to find GOOd teams to play!!
A tough way for mamo to end. Just an FYI that Mamo has been playing CT and LI teams for 6 and 3 years respectively. Not GC or Darien yet, but Fairfield Prep, Fairfield Ludlowe and Oceanside. Small steps, but Jeff Barnard is trying to get there.
Nisky 23-3 Final
6-4 WI end 3
11-4 WI wins. Played much better lots of posses and offense found itself
If Nisky is really good which I suspect will be real close vs WI
SWR has a few more experienced (senior) quality lax kids then Bville so I make them bout 2-3 goal winner BUT Bronxville can beat them iif gets decent possession and D plays well. Teams not that far apart.
Iona Prep loses to Bishop Timon 16-15 in the Catholic AA state final battling back from a 13-4 deficit.
Congrats to IP on a valiant comeback and a good season. Looking forward to seeing Luke Wooters, who had 7 goals, playing for the Golden Flyers of Nazareth next year!

Yorktown has jumped out to a 3-0 lead over Queensbury. Connor Vercruysse, the OT hero of the sectional final has two goals.
Sophomore middie Luke Palmadesso gives Yorktown a 4-0 lead.
Yorktown has extended the lead to 10-0. Junior midfielder Brian Prestreau has three goals.
Prestreau with four goals, Vercruysse and Mariano with three goals each. Yorktown leads 15-2 at the half.
Yorktown wins 18-7. Huskers await their state semifinal opponent.

15-2 Mariano from A Fusco Half
16-2 Marone

Town 16-4 Quigley
17-4 Bender, Town has empitied bench in 3rd
17-5 7:27 left
Town 18-7 Final
Final: Garden City 9, Sayville 2
But for some bad shot selection in the 1st quarter when GC dominated possession and some great saves throughout the game by the Sayville goalie (where is he going?) the margin of win could have been far more then 7.
I’d have to go with GC winning by 4 goals over Town BUT just like last season when Town almost won, they have the talent to pull off an upset here.
Yorktown was playing at a higher level at this time last year and Garden City has improved. An upset in these semi-finals is always possible, but this Garden City team is one of the better teams they have ever had ( if you consider the season thus far). Im not making a prediction, but this has the potential to be rough- I’m sure Town will be as prepared as they can be as well as focused. I wish them luck.
