We’re halfway through a week filled with big games.
While today is a relatively light day, there are still a few interesting games.
It’s a busy day in Suffolk with many of the top contenders in Class A in action:
* West Islip and Sachem North, meet at 2 p.m. at West Islip.
* Ward Melville hosts Smithtown West at 1 p.m.
* Northport hosts Bayshore at 11 a.m.
Also on Long Island, MountainView High School of California continues its East Coast tour when it plays at Plainedge at 10 a.m.
In Section 1, Tappan Zee, off to a 5-0 start, faces its biggest test when it plays at Hen Hud at 4:15 p.m.
The upstart program at Carmel has its second-ever meeting against crosstown rival Mahopac at 4:30 p.m. at Carmel.
There’s an intriguing Connecticut vs. New Jersey battle as New Canaan hosts Lawrenceville at 5 p.m. at Dunning Stadium.
In a prep contest, Brunswick plays at Taft at 4 p.m.

Looking at TZ schedule Brewster looks to be a possible loss otherwise they may win all the rest. Question where would they be seeded? Could they be no 1 seed in B? Over Town, Somers and JJ? Did they change any of the seeding rules?
