The new week has just started and we already have some big news.
If you checked our “Updated recruiting review and commitment rundown” tonight, you learned that one of the region’s top juniors, attackman/midfielder Peter Conley of Mamaroneck, verbally committed to Georgetown. Mamaroneck coach Jeff Barnard passed along the news to me earlier tonight.
Be sure to check back for more on that and other commitments.
Now, let’s look back to last week.
Some who follow the athletic pursuits of Eric Cooley (pictured above) thought that football might be his sport of choice at the college level.
But the Yorktown senior defenseman opted for a future in lacrosse. He has verbally committed to Rutgers.
That was among the big stories from the nation’s No. 1 hotbed for lax, the Hudson Valley/Long Island/Connecticut region, this past week.
