Harrison Mauldin, a defenseman and longstick midfielder at Ridgefield High School in Fairfield County (CT), joined the lacrosse team at Bard College after graduating from Ridgefield in 2013.

But Mauldin has had to leave the team after being diagnosed with T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma, a rare form of Leukemia.

The community has come together on behalf of Harrison and his family and has already raised around $40,000 to help cover his medical expenses.
