Monday, March 7 is the first official day of varsity practices and tryouts for public school teams in New York.
We’re now less than two weeks away from the season’s first games and scrimmages, which be on Long Island and New York City, starting Monday, March 14.
Opening week will end with some interesting games on Saturday, March 19 as Smithtown West (Section 11) meets Manhasset (Section 8) Pelham (Section 1) takes on Mount Sinai (Section 11) and Yorktown (Section 1) takes on Cathedral Catholic (CA).
After New York teams get practices and tryouts, New Jersey squads will get things going, followed by Connecticut schools.
