If you know your Class of 2016 tristate standouts, then Devon Sullivan is a familiar name.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Syracuse University-bound senior at Corning-Painted Post HS in upstate New York combines skills with size and strength.
The midfielder also has outstanding vision. Both on the field and off.
Sullivan invented the idea for an app called Sky Risin’ that has now become a reality.
“Sky Risin’ came from a small idea, with a simple objective,” Sullivan said. “It was nothing too complex, but interesting enough to keep you playing.
Sky Risin’ allows you to use your Jetpack to pilot your way out of the atmosphere.
“But be careful, flying into a beam will send you all the way back to ground level,” the app description warns.
“After about a month of development, I turned to a friend for a complete design revamp,” Sullivan said. “This gave the app the look and feel that it has now.”
“Sky Risin’ is an easy yet hard to master game with one goal: fly higher than anyone else,” the app description says.
You can download Sky Risin’ here.
“We worked together every day for a few more weeks until finally submitting to the App Store.
Since this is my first app, I stayed with a simple concept and I am pleased with the way it turned out.”
But wait, as they say in the infomercials, there’s more — and there will be more.
“Sky Risin’ is a small taste of what I’ll be bringing to the App community in near future,” Sullivan said.
