Here at LaxLessons, we take pride in the fact that we

But when our friends at Just Lacrosse Upstate proposed a friendly wager on the All-New York Major League Lacrosse final between the Rochester Rattles and Long Island Lizards, we had to put that policy on hold.

After all, as the No. 1 source for lacrosse in the NY/NJ/CT tristate hotspot, we couldn’t help but have an opinion.

And we backed it up with action.

Our own Joe Lombardi accepted a wager in which Dennis Pettit and the gang at justlacrosse.com pledged to send Joe’s way three pounds of Zweigle’s Hot Dogs, Rochester’s finest,  along with a bag of Hinerwadel’s Salt Potatoes, another upstate staple.

Joe countered with an offer of two live Montauk lobsters.

As we all know, the Lizards pulled out a 15-12 win to take the MLL crown last Saturday at Fifth Third Bank Stadium in Atlanta.

Just Lacrosse wasted little time in shipping down the upstate food fare, which arrived safely this week (photos above). Below are photos of the upstate staples after being prepared.
