The summer showcases have wrapped up, but tryouts for the U19 2016 U.S. team continue.
Those topics — along with a historic commitment for seven-time New York state champion Yorktown — will be featured on the latest edition of the “Tristate Lacrosse Spotlight with Joe Lombardi” online radio show/podcast on Sunday at noon.
Rising junior defender Jose Boyer of Yorktown, who became the first-ever male athlete in school history to commit to Notre Dame, will join Joe Lombardi.
So too will Harvard University-bound Garden City HS (NY) grad James Sullivan, who is one of 30 finalists for the 23-player U19 roster, and a former high school rival and Ivy-League bound player, recent Manhasset HS (NY) grad Tyler Dunn. Dunn also is a U19 finalist.
One of the nation’s top 2018 attackmen, Syracuse University-bound Griffin Gelinas of the Brunswick School (CT), who played in the Maverik Showtime 2018 all-star game, also joins Joe.
It’s a jam-packed show you won’t want to miss.
