Regional rivalries highlight what promises to be a wild Wednesday in the NY/NJ/CT tristate hotspot.
Smithtown East vs. Smithtown West in Suffolk (NY) is one of the nation’s hottest, most recent evolved rivalries. They’ll meet again in the annual “Running of the Bulls” in a 5 p.m. game today at West.
Also in Suffolk, the county’s lone unbeaten team, Connetquot, visits Sachem North.
In a big NJ showdown, Westfield, which clinched the No. 1 seed in the Union County playoffs, takes on arguably the state’s top team in Delbarton.
Also in the Garden City, Ridgewood hosts Don Bosco Prep.
