The first full day of action this week produced some interesting outcomes Tuesday.
Among those results:
* Will Snelder scored with 42 seconds left as Comsewogue (NY) dealt Hauppauge (NY) its first loss, 6-5, ending Comsewogue’s streak of three straight OT games to start the season.
* Harborfields upset defending Suffolk (NY) Class B champ Rocky Point 0-7 led by: Terrence Haggerty 6-3, Connor Bennardo 1-3, Cam Laporta, Quintin McKenna 2G each.
* Defending Section 1 (NY) Class C champ Bronxville picked up a 6-3 win over 2012-13 NY Class B state champ Garden City as Henry Grass had three goals, Ara Atayian two and RJ Ambrose one.
* From Suffolk (NY), Mount Sinai upset Shoreham-Wading River 6-5 led by Dan Keenan’s three goals, Danny Bullis’ one goal and three assists and Shane Walker excellence in the faceoff X.
Now, to Wednesday.
The wet weather in the tristate is expected to continue, but there are no thunderstorms in the forecast, and the showers and moderate rain should not result in postponements.
