After a snow-filled last few months, we hope you’re enjoying all the green you’re seeing in the photo here, folks.
And it’s not just for St. Patrick’s Day.
We’re off and running with a brand-new varsity lacrosse season now upon us.
The first games of 2015 were played on Monday with two contests in Nassau County on Long Island.
Behind Danny Connell’s six goals and one assist and Bobby Buell’s three goals and two assists, Seaford beat Division 11-8 and Lawrence downed Holy Trinity 15-12 as Jordan Fredricks scored five goals.
Action will also be exclusive to Section 8 on Tuesday, with a game between state powers Garden City highlighting the action.
GC has opened its season against Syosset each season since 2008, losing just once — in 2009.
The Trojans won last year’s meeting 6-3.
The game will be played at Syosset-Woodbury Community Center at 4:30 p.m.
