Nothing says it’s time to start a brand-new college lacrosse season like a mix of light snow and sleet in much of the East and a third straight significant storm to start a new workweek headed our way.
With that in mind, yes indeed, a new season will be starting Saturday.
The slate is highlighted by No. 9 Virginia at No. 7 Loyola in a 1 p.m. game.
Also of note, Duke, with three suspended starters, could get a scare from a High Point squad with a potent attack.
Joe Lombardi also notes two other possible “Upset Alert” games @Twitter.com/Joe_Lombardi.
No. 4 Syracuse opens it season with a 4 p.m. game Saturday against Siena at the Carrier Dome.
