Hudson Valley Lacrosse will be inducting its new class of Hall of Fame members at a dinner on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. at the Cortlandt Colonial, located on Oregon Road in Putnam Valley.
The four-member group of inductees is made up of Paul Carcaterra, Anthony DiMarzo, Ellen Mager and Brian Silcott.
A member of three New York state championship teams at Yorktown High School, Carcaterra is No. 2 on the Huskers’ all-time goals list and holds the record for most goals in a season with 91.
Carcaterra (pictured above) went on to become a two-time captain and All-American at Syracuse University. He is now a nationally renowned broadcast analyst for ESPN and is co-partner of the Maverik Showtime National Lacrosse Recruiting Spotlight.
DiMarzo, a 1991 Lakeland HS grad, helped his team make its first state title-game appearance. The attackman (right) then became two-time conference player of the year at the University of Delaware where he was a three-time All-American and inducted into the Delaware Athletics Hall of Fame.
Mager coached a relatively new Yorktown girls lacrosse program into a team that won state titles in 1996, ’97 and ’98.
Mager (left) has also helped to develop countless All-Americans at both the high school and collegiate levels.
Silcott, a 1983 Fox Lane graduate, was a two-time All-American at Nazareth College, where he was Division III midfielder of the year, leading Naz to a national title.
Silcott (right) went on to play professional indoor and outdoor lacrosse, completing his career with the Boston Cannons of the MLL.
