The United States team was denied an eighth title in the last nine World Games as Team Canada defeated the U.S. team 9-5 in the World Games final Saturday at Commerce City, Colo.
The Canadian team established the tone in the first half, leading 3-1 at the break in the matchup of lacrosse superpowers.
Game MVP Dillon Ward made eight saves on 13 shots on goals.
Canada had fallen to Team U.S. 10-7 on opening night of the games in round-robin play.
The silver medal is the third for the U.S. team in World Games history.
