* Connecticut state tournament boys/girls brackets
State championships have been awarded in New York and New Jersey.
But the chase for state supremacy marches on in the Nutmeg State.
The six teams that will be playing in the three Connecticut class championships games on Saturday, June 14 will all be determined by about 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Here’s the rundown of Wednesday semifinal doubleheaders that will be played at three sites.
Class L
at Brien McMahon, Norwalk
No. 9 Staples (14-5) vs. No. 5 Amity (15-4), 5 p.m.
No. 3 Ridgefield (16-4) vs. No. 2 Greenwich (18-3), 7:15 p.m.
Class M
at Fairfield Ludlowe, Fairfield
No. 13 Daniel Hand (11-8) vs. No. 1 Darien (21-0), 5 p.m.
No. 7 Joel Barlow (12-7) vs. No. 3 New Canaan (16-4), 7:15 p.m.
Class S
at Cheshire High School, Cheshire
No. 8 St. Joseph (13-6) vs. No. 5 Northwest Catholic (14-5), 5 p.m.
No. 7 Brookfield (15-6) vs. No. 6 East Catholic (15-5), 7:15 p.m.
