No. 2 Sachem North pulled out a 6-5 win over seventh-seeded Half Hollow Hills East in the Suffolk (NY) Class A quarterfinals on Wednesday. Sean O’Brien had three goals and one assist for the Flaming Arrows. Jacob Giacolone made 10 saves, including two on the crease in the final three minutes and one from point-blank range in the final minute. Jordan Eichholz made 12 saves in goal for Hills East (12-5). Sachem North (14-3), which has won 11 straight, will host No. 3 Smithtown East at 6 p.m. Friday in the semifinals. Five of Sachem North’s victories during its win streak have been by one goal.
