* High School Scoreboard Central, Friday, 3/28
Before we get to the first Stacked Saturday of 2014 that includes teams from outside Long Island and the CHSAA, let’s take a quick look back at Friday.
There were quite a few one-goal games:
* Matt Whitcher had six goals and Ben Kocis scored twice as Huntington (NY) beat Shoreham-Wading River (NY) 9-8.
* Sachem North (NY) fell to Archbishop Spalding (MD) 7-6 on a goal with six seconds remaining.
* Nicky Hatzipetrakos had four goals, including the winner in the final seconds, as Syosset (NY) beat Northport (NY) 12-11.
* Bernards pulled out a 4-3 win over St. Peter’s Prep in a New Jersey classic “baseball score” lax game.
Also of note, Smithtown East beat Suffolk County (NY) rival West Islip for the third straight time, winning 10-6. The East-side Bulls are now 2-1. WI is 0-2.
