After one of the snowiest Februaries on record in the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut tristate, the white stuff is showing no signs of stopping now that March has arrived.
A winter storm heading into the tristate region is expected to have more of an impact toward the coast and areas south of the coast, with 3 of accumulation expected for Long Island between Sunday night and noon on Monday.
Monday, March 3 also happens to be the first day of official spring varsity practices and tryouts for Long Island as well as CHSAA teams. If schools are closed, that may be delayed a day.
Schools in most of the rest of New York, as well as New Jersey, get things going Monday, March 10, with Connecticut squads starting spring practices and tryouts on Monday March 24.
