When it comes to lacrosse, there’s nowhere close to the tristate region.
As we’ve noted many times, if you took Long Island by itself, you would have the nation’s premier lacrosse hotspot.
Go a bit west and add New York City and New Jersey, a bit north and add the Hudson Valley and a bit northeast to include Connecticut, and you have by far the mecca of the lax galaxy by leaps and bounds.
While the game is growing rapidly nationally and continues to thrive in upstate New York and New England, and the sport’s proud and traditional home base of Baltimore is still more than competitive, there’s no place like the tristate when it comes to lacrosse.
Not even close.
So it’s always intriguing to pinpoint who the best of the best varsity teams are heading into a brand-new season.
We asked for your take in our “You Make the Call” feature.
Now, we’ll be telling you what we think.
