It will be a battle of No. 3 vs. No. 4 Saturday as defending national champion Duke hosts Denver.

The game has been moved to the Duke turf practice field on Frank Bassett Drive due to the weather.

The fourth-ranked Pioneers are the first ranked team Duke will face in 2014 and marks the first of six preseason Top-10 opponents Duke is slated to face.

Also of note Saturday, former Hofstra associate head coach Joe Amplo, now the head coach at Marquette, returns to Shuart Stadium as Seth Tierney and Hofstra begins their 66th season of college lacrosse with a high noon showdown against Marquette.

Going from the nation’s No. 1 hotspot of lacrosse, the NY/NJ/CT tristate region, to its proud and traditional home base, Johns Hopkins hosts rival Towson at 4 p.m. at Homewood Field.
