The Syracuse University Orange are set for the start of their first season in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
“We are very much looking forward to playing in the ACC,” SU coach John Desko said. “Some of those opponents we’ve played in the past, so it’s probably not as big a jump for us as it was for the football team or the men’s basketball team, but we are looking forward to that competition.”
That was one of the main topics of discussion at SU media day today, as well as the return from injury of former West Islip star Nick Galasso and the latest player to wear the fabled No. 22 at SU, former attackman/midfielder Jordan Evans, who also wore that number during a highlight-filled career at Jamesville-DeWitt.
