New Canaan (Conn.) won its second straight FCIAC title in lacrosse this past spring.
A large number of New Canaan lacrosse standouts also play football and today were part of a 44-12 win over archrival Darien in the CIAC Class L state title game at Boyle Stadium in Stadium.
The victory gave the Rams a single-season school-record 14 wins and avenged for their lone loss of the season.
After the snowy bus ride back to New Canaan, New Canaan Police met the team bus at the town line to escort it to New Canaan High School.
Teddy Bossidy, Michael Root, Robby Paul, Cole Turpin, Jack Gilio, Kyle Smith and Graham Wagner are all two-sport standouts for NCHS in both football and lacrosse.
