MJ Melillo is a playmaking defenseman.
“My biggest strength I would say is my ability to pick up groundballs and make a good play with the ball,” said the defenseman/longstick midfielder.
Melillo was a member of the Delbarton (N.J.) varsity squad as a sophomore this past season. After two more seasons with the Green Wave, he’ll be heading off to the University of Michigan, a commitment reported on LaxLessons.com’s Lacrosse Insider premium coverage section on Oct. 6.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound lefty is a strong position defender who is active, especially off the ball, and an unselfish team player.
Now, here’s a Q&A with MJ on his commitment.
