Ben Duhoski stands out on the lacrosse field.
Literally.
The 2014 Millbrook School (N.Y.) defender is 6-foot-3.
Big Ben is also skilled.
The combination has provided the shutdown defenseman with a college future.
It will come at Denison University.
Duhoski, who played for the Prime Time 2014 travel team, verballed to the Big Red, a commitment first reported when it was made on Aug. 9 by Joe Lombardi on LaxLessons.com’s “Lacrosse Insider” section.

Now, here’s a Q&A with Ben on his commitment.
What were the main factors in your decision?
Finding a school that was the best academic and athlete fit. As well as finding a school I see myself attending.
What other schools were you considering and what schools did you visit?
UMass, UAlbany, Boston University, Stevens, Bowdoin, Middlebury and Union.
What are your strength as a player and how would you describe your style of play?
My physical presence as well as my ability to push transition.
What area of your game do you need to work on?
I need to work on my consistency and my groundball play.
How did you get introduced to lacrosse and what other sports have you played?
Both my parents played lacrosse in college and I play soccer and basketball.
What travel team do you play on what showcase events did you participate in?
I play on Primetime 2014 and played at the Prep School Showcase, Moonlight Showcase, NYLA, King of the Hill, MVP and Hotbeds.
Any final thoughts?
I’d like to thank my family and friends who have help my through my whole development. I would also like to thank my coach Tom Spinella and Dave Mullen at Millbrook School as well as Nick Daniello, director of Prime Time lacrosse and coaches Nick Hautau and Justin Schneidman.
