CT Division M state quarters final: New Canaan 7, East Lyme 3. Rams will play tomorrow’s Joel Barlow/Bethel winner in June 5 semifinals.
CT Division L state quarters halftime score: No. 1 Ridgefield 8, No. 8 Glastonbury 2.
12-5 after three
Final: Ridgefield 14, Glastonbury 5. Tigers will play tomorrow’s Fairfield Prep/Xavier winner June 5 in semis. It will be a rematch of last year’s state final, won by FP.
any word as to the location for the next game? Is it a neutral site or higher seed?
Site and time to be determined.
The CIAC will set up the semi-finals at for all classes at a “neutral” site, but how neutral the site is can be very much an open question. CIAC also likes to set up doubleheaders for each semifinal within the same class which requires a field with lights. Assuming Prep wins to match up with Ridgefield, and Greenwich and Simsbury advance as well, I’d expect the Class L doubleheader to be at Brien McMahon. They wont make 3 Fairfield Co. teams travel to accommodate either Simsbury or Southington. I also think the Class M semis will be at Fairfield Ludlowe HS under the same scenario, NC, the Darien/Wilton winner, Joel Barlow would be another 3 Fairield Co teams that won’t be moved to accommodate the winner of New Fairfield/Guilford.
