From middle afternoon till late in the evening, there will be plenty of mega matchups, with most of them for championships.
First, a word about the weather forecast. There is a likelihood of precipitation and thunderstorms passing throughout the area during this time frame. So be sure to bring your rain gear to whichever game or games you will be attending and check back for updates on the status of games.
We started at Hofstra University, which will host a CHSAA championship doubleheader.
It starts with St. Anthony’s vs. Chaminade in the Nassau/Suffolk AAA title game at 4:45 p.m.
St. Anthony’s is looking for its fifth straight title and trying to win it all after losing twice in the regular season to Chaminade for what would be a third consecutive year.

St. John the Baptist and Kellenberg will be then be playing for the CHSAA Nassau/Suffolk AA title. You can also watch that game live on MSGVarsity.com.
Section 1 boys and girls are set for White Plains and Mamaroneck high schools, respectively.
Today’s boys field features a pair of first-time sectional finalists in North Rockland (Class A) and Pleasantville (Class C). Mamaroneck (Class A), which won its first-ever sectional title last year, is looking to make it two in a row. Yorktown (Class B) is looking to take a sectional title for the 31st time in the last 34 years. The Huskers, who will be going for the 37th sectional title overall, will be meeting rival John Jay in the final for the third straight year. All three games will be shown live on MSGVarsity.com.

Suffolk County semifinal games include top-seeded Comsewogue hosting Miller Place in Class B and No. 1 seed and defending New York Class C state champion Shoreham-Wading River hosting Elwood/John Glenn in a pair of 4 p.m. games. Also in Class B, Sayville visits Huntington and in Class C, Bayport-Blue Point plays at Babylon. The Section 11 Class A semis are set for tomorrow.
State tournament action continues in New Jersey. Among the matchups, Ridge battles Bridgewater-Raritan, Summit faces Northern Highlands and Bernards hosts Haddonfield Memorial at 4:30 p.m.

That really hurts the kids because as far as I know, Friday-Monday are “Dead days” for all D-1 coaches, so they cannot attend the games. Hopefully I am wrong.
