Darien really needs a win today after the tough losses vs. Set and Nisky.
I’m going to go with Darien winning 9-7.
If Arlington wins today against Somers I put them at the top of Class “A”. Somers has played some tough teams out of conference so they should be battle tested. Should be a great game. Somers 10 Arlington 9.
Town (large lead)–strong sched as usual
Jay (credit for wilton win)–strong sched as usual
Bville (despite Town blow-out,making assumption can play a lot better?)–Somers/Mamo upcoming key games
Mamo (like their key players inc. goalie)-Fox Lane/Bville games key
Somers–very tough schedule coming up
Arlington-Brewster/Town games
Rye (need wins or at least very close games vs upcoming top ranked teams to move up–Jay, Somers, IP, New Canaan)
Brewster
Pac
Byram Hills
Fox Lane
Class A
Mamo
Arlington
Pac
LP
Class B

Class C
Bville
Byram Hills
Pville

Can someone tell me the scheduling rationale in Rye’s particular League requiring teams to play each other twice?–dont think that’s the case in other Section 1 Leagues??
A note to above. I tend to be more conservative/harder on my own Rye team. They also have a very good goalie and some top offensive and defensive players that IMO can play with the best in Section 1. They’ve played really well against LP and Greeley and not so well/uneven vs Fox and Pville (credit to those teams as well). Probably would have notched Rye up had those been stronger all-around wins.
Arlington leads Somers 3-0 after one. Brendan Sunday has one goal and two assists. JD Colarusso is sharp in goal.
Arlington, looking for its first win in program history vs. Somers, leads 4-2 at the half.
Somers has rallied to tie Arlington 5-5 after three. David Rubenstein has scored three goals for the Tuskers.
Somers pulls out a dramatic, come-from-behind 6-5 win over Arlington.
Final?
Sorry, your post beat my question
With wins over LP & Pac and close games with Somers & JJ, it’s fair to say that Arlington has really come a long way.
Mamo can’t take anything for granted in the playoffs.
Tell the tigers were coming!
After yesterdays effort, the admirals should not be telling anyone they are coming! Very weak effort and appeared totally unfocused in my opinion.
Rye 10 -2 over HG after 3
Final: Rye 11, Greeley 3
Rye’s best overall game so far. Did not think it would be this lop-sided.Good that a lot of kids
Critical to keep up major intensity for each game, not looking ahead to any particular game.
add “played” end 1st paragraph.
Hen Hud 12, Kennedy 5 (final)
Big win for Somers and a much needed one. Keep it up!

Time to get back to work. Yorktown on Saturday will be a big test.
OK So after yesterday’s games I feel more confident about below CT Rankings
1. Ridgefield

3. Darien
4. Greenwich
5. Fairfield Prep
6. Wilton
Prep always starts slow and gets much better during season.
