Anyone going to Ytown Columbine game today? Can we get updates if possible? Thanks some of us are stuck at work.
Any updates in Ytown game yet? Who looks good? thnx!
Updates would be great, but service there could be spotty.
Just got a cell signal. Town up 4-1 after 1. Vercruysse with 2 gs. Game didn’t start till around 11:20.
5-1 Y’town end 1
Thanks guys. Fill us in on any details on Columbine and Yorktown schematically . We all wish we could be there.
Sorry Indian J. I’m not giving any schemes. If JJ wants to scout Columbine and Yorktown they can do it themselves. 😉
I’m sure they are, 🙂 I was just curious for myself , especially about Columbine. Town is very similar every year in what they do, it’s just a question of who they have and how well they’re doing it when you play them.
5-2 H
7-3 Town after 3. CV now has 3gs.
8-5 Town wins!
So Columbine could give Jay trouble . Someone want to give a description of how this played out ?
Despite the score Town dominated the game winning the vast majority of FO, gb, taking many more shots then C. Margin could have been far greater but for Town’s play which was not up to their usual standard of passing, shot selection, etc. 1st game rustiness and expect Town to play much better on Saturday. Also Columbine’s goalie is good and definitely helped to keep the score down.
Columbine is average with 2 legit O kids (22/10) and a decent pole + a good goalie. Their clearing was weak.
So in summary J will definitely win and if they play really well should win by 5+ goals.,
Town had this game under control from the opening whistle. Sloppy 4th quarter, kids were getting too comfy!
nice first win.
good luck jj!
Very hard to get d mods on in today’s game!! You need two way mids
Final: Wantagh 10, Mamaroneck 5. The Warriors pulled away after leading only 3-1 at the half.
Heard Mamo was banged up with injuries
Mamo lost their number one offensive and defensive player at half time both due to injury. Mamo was actually leading 3-1 at half time and would have been a different game with both of them in.
If you gave up 9 more goals in the 2nd half because you lost 1 defensive player then Mamo is in trouble. Not sure how you can say different game? The entire team is back from last year right?
Finals ….
Smithtown West 10, Farmingdale 3
Ward Melville 17, Riverheard 3
Final: Chaminade 8, Fordham Prep 0. The Flyers will take a 2-0 record into Saturday’s game at West Islip.
Stepinac defeated Clarkstown South 9-6 in both teams’ season opener.
West Islip defeated Connetquot 14-6 as senior midfielder Ryan Wieczorek scored five times.
Pleasantville 14, Pelham 6 – final… Nice effort boys!
I know some may say it’s “just a scrimmage”, but very nice job by Greenwich in beating Brunswick 7-6 in overtime in the ‘battle of Greenwich’. Bring on Ridgefield next Wednesday!
Good job by Greenwich bouncing back from last weekend…learn from the humility boys
That is one scrimmage played like a game with more intensity than many of the FCIAC games Greenwich will have this year.
They look bigger and faster than last year.
Best of luck this year
Any word on Greenwich/Manhasset scrimmage?
Hen Hud 18, Carmel 1. Not much of a game, but a nice way to shake the rust off. Starters sat in the 2nd half.
Town 11-Iona Prep 8…B’Ville 12- Iona Prep 10…just scrimmages, but just sayin’…looking forward to 4/13
Town-18-IP-9 WAS 8-0 at one point plusYtown sub freely
Heard differently, just scrimmages, all sub freely, just sayin
