Jordan Lefranc has swifted course.
The St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) senior, who committed to Siena College in August, has decommitted from the Saints and committed to St. John’s, a development first reported late yesterday at Twitter.com/joe_lombardi.
“St. John’s was one of the schools that always showed interest since the beginning of the recruiting process,” Lefranc siad. “In the back of my mind, I always knew that St.John’s is a great program in the Big East and would be somewhere I would love to play.
“When I first decommitted from Siena, I reached out to most of the schools that showed interest in me before and St. John’s showed the most interest in getting me on campus and becoming a member of the team.”
Joining the Red Storm will also allow Lefranc to be reunited with current St. A’s teammate and classmate Michael Curry, a midfielder who signed with St. John’s during Fall Signing Week.
“We’ve been playing lacrosse with since fourth grade,” Lefranc said.
Now, they’ll be playing together through their college years.
“Siena was a great school but things didn’t work out at the end,” Lefranc said. “I’m excited to play for (St. John’s Head) Coach (Jason) Miller and the rest of the staff.”

Great News! This is exactly what St.Johns needed is an attack-men that can be a playmaker and jump start the offense from X. I seen Lefranc play a couple of times, his ability to dodge from X and feed is exceptional. Lefranc should be a threat to become the QB of this offense from the moment he steps on campus. Great Pick up by Coach Miller! Go REDSTORM!
Anytime youre St Johns and can get a St A’s kid it’s a good day.
Late bloomer who could be a steal for SJU
What SJU needs more than anything is speed and dodging in the midfield. Sounds like this kid can do that and even get in transition. Look forward to seeing St Anthonys this year. SJU will have 3 St. Anthony’s players on the roster next season.
