Lacrosse can teach lessons that go beyond the playing field.
That is the theme of an NBC News report that aired late last week.
Reporter Ron Mott profiles a non-profit organization formed by New Haven, Conn., native Michael Gary (far right) that gives underprivileged children a chance to learn the game.
Gary, who is the admissions director at Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire, runs his program with the support of the Yale University and Trinity College men’s and women’s teams.

That is a cool story. Nice to see the sport moving into cities.
Well done story.
