With the start of the high school season rapidly approaching, now’s the perfect time to review some of the noteworthy rule changes that will be in effect starting this coming season.
The rules were proposed by the National Federation of State High School Associations Boys Lacrosse Rules Committee and approved by the NFHS Board of Directors.
Among the highlights: speeding up offensive play and simplifying counting requirements for officials; expanding non-releasable fouls for checks in the head and neck areas; requirement of butt ends for sticks; new faceoff rules; and more.
For an overview, check the NFHS announcement detailing the rules changes.

Interesting and timely info heading into the season. I like these changes.
Good moves to clamp down on hits to the head/neck and for those rare instances where a player gets multiple personal fouls.
They need to put in no stalling rules for all levels of lax. … And now.
