We start the day with some big recruiting news.

One of the nation’s top juniors, Hen Hud faceoff specialist Matt Ledwin, verbally committed late last night to Johns Hopkins.

Ledwin narrowed his choices to Harvard and Dartmouth (as well as Hopkins).

Ledwin became a priority recruit of many of the nation’s top programs after a strong showing at the Maverik Showtime Recruiting Spotlight.

We’ll have more coming up from both Matt and his coach at Hen Hud, Craig Solomon.

In the meantime, be sure to check out Matt’s player profile.

Finally, a quick reminder to vote in our latest poll.

The poll question is: Who do you think is the best high school team in the Hudson Valley/Long Island/Connecticut region heading into the 2012 season?

To vote, go to the right panel of this page. Then, just scroll past the “New Comments” and “Popular” tabs and click on “Poll,” and then cast your vote from the choices available, or write in your choice if it’s not listed.
