Say the names Jake Reed and Maverik Showtime and lacrosse coaches and players alike quickly recognize them as two of the premier summer recruiting showcase events.
Will the National Invitational 175 soon be added to that list?
Time will tell, but one thing is certain. A new event will debut on the calendar that includes some of the premier talent in the country.
It will be held over three days, July 28-30, at Union College in Schenectady, N.Y.
Camp organizers include former UMass coach Ted Garber, Darien High School coach Jeff Brameier, Long Island Express Director Mike Chanenchuk, Union College coach Paul Wehrum, Union assistant coach Tucker Kear and longtime lacrosse player, coach and enthusiast Marty Sands of Greenwich, Conn.
