I’ll take ND in the rematch 10-8. Duke has a lot of young players and I think they may be overconfident yet inexperienced after beating Siena 20-6.

OSU – NC tied at 6 at the half in the shoe. NC had 2 goals in the first 90 secs of the first qtr, then 2 goals in the first 50 sec of the second qtr, Galasso one or two, face offs about even. Freshman goalie for OSU hanging tough. OSU had lead midway through the 2nd.

  3. NYmike says:

OSU – NC tied at 6 at half. NC 2 goals 90 secs into 1st, 2 goals 50 secs into 2nd – other than that OSU slight edge on possession time and causing turnovers. Patience, working the ball, OSU 2 man up opps, NC one. – Freshman goalie for OSU hanging tough, Galasso one, maybe two, goals? NC has the weapons though.

upset in the making…despite Gallaso and Bitter leading the O…Ohio State 10 NC 7…ya still gotta play some D

      did osu win?

          WOW!

          • BigBadBear says:

apparently, UNC was very sloppy with the ball, and the goalie had a poor game…and at least some of the UNC fans (at least on the blogs) think NG is a bit of a ball hog. (Note to NG, transfers to Hop would be cheerfully accepted)

WOW–Luv these blue-collar teams beating the big boys with all their AA’s!!–Good for lax.

        • NYmike says:

OSU dominated 2nd half with 4 goals in first 4 minutes – probably 50% in face offs against a top guy at NC, NC had 2 in the first 90 of the first, 2 in the first 50 sec of the 2nd – galasso two goals, but it was all OSU later – awesome freshman goalie in greg dutton, underclassmen-heavy team bodes well for the game, the midwest, and the future of lax.

  5. NYmike says:

1:09 into 3rd Bucks up 2 over NC. 2:35 into the 3rd, OSU scores 3rd goal of the half – up 9-6 over NC. OSU again – 4 goals in at 4:11 into the third – 10-6 Bucks. 11-7 bucks with 3 min left in 3rd, and that’s the way the 3rd end, OSU dominates faceoffs and possession in the 3rd. Carolina on their heels, but they still have all the weapons. Galasso has 2, was very aggressive in the 3rd trying to make things happen. It’s OSU in the upset – 13-8. OSU dominated the 2nd half.
