This is about a wide-open NCAA that I can remember, I think any of the top 8 seeds are a threat. At least one major upset in the first round, my choice: UMBC over NC.
And Joe, you will be happy to know that your Dayton Flyers have been seeded #1 in the MCLA Tourny. Their top threat likley to come from the St. Thomas Tommies, a Minnesota tea, that features multiple ex D1 and D 3 players. And of course, my personal dark horse will be the Eagles of Emory, seeded #6

There you go. How about those Flyers? The Tommies? C’mon. I’m not too worried. Actually, it sounds like I should be.
I agree. The tournament is completely wide open, especially after what Duke did to Virginia a couple of weeks ago. There really is no favorite. Can’t remember that being the case for a while? Could this be the year we have several upstart teams in the final four instead of the occasional one?
Joe, I enjoyed your interview on TV with Tom Interlicchio durimg the Murphy Cup broadcast. Good luck to Hofstra and to all the Section 1 players in the tournament.
Joe:
Emory has to (if they win) play the Tommies first, so it may be getting personal!!
And yes, I do think, given the wide-spread parity, we will see a new team this year. FYI, the Bear Clan is also Hop supporters (besides Emory of course), they have a very different team, being led by the Attack this year, let’s see what they can do.
MCLA D1 is actually less interesting, only because Michigan is steam-rolling everyone
By the way, a couple of locals at Michigan too: Michael Bartomioli of Pleasantville and Jamie Goldberg of Yorktown.
Malarchuk is egotistical jerk to whom we should all give squat
Hey Joe, do you know how the two JJ boys from last year are doing at Cuse.
Sid – Who is Malarchuk? You lost me on that one.

Very well. We’ve been providing updates during the season.
Chris Daniello, a junior attackman, has been enjoying a breakout season. He has had a couple of three-goal games and has 18 goals for the season.
Kevin Drew, a freshman d-middie, has played in all 14 games and has even scored four goals.
I do believe Harrison Silver, JJ, has indicated he is going to Michigan, and also Matt Levy of the Bears is on the team too
Yeah Daniello is starting and doing well, don’t know how it’ll play out now that cuse has star attackman Cody Jamieson but Chris started yesterday against Colgate. Drew has been getting solid minutes at d middie and against Virginia he covered Shamel Bratton, like he did in high school.
Should be real interesting games the rest of the way.
