Not many teams have played actual games yet but a few have.
So there were a few changes in the UnderArmour/Inside Lacrosse national power rankings, which were released today. These are the first in-season rankings.
In the meantime, we have some news regarding the debut of the LaxLesson.com regional rankings.
First off nationally. Of note, Garden City, which had been ranked 18th in the preseason, dropped out after losing 6-3 to Syosset yesterday. Syosset, meanwhile, moved up to No. 5 from No. 6. Other teams held their preseason rankings, including St. Anthony’s (No. 10), Yorktown (21) and Darien (22).

Our first LaxLessons.com regional rankings will be released here first thing Monday. We will rank the Top 25 teams in Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, Fairfield, Nassau and Suffolk.

National poll has Yorktown ahead of Darien. But I can’t remember the last time Town beat Darien. Whi does everyone think should be ranked higher?

What do you expect to see at Saturdays mega jamboree at Somers, NY High? I hear St. Anthonys, Mountain Lakes, Don Bosco and Guilderland are among the entries. What are the times for this? Somers was down last season, werent they?

It is quite a field without a doubt. Mountain Lakes is fourth in he latest Under Armour/Inside Lacrosse national rankings, Delbarton is seventh and St. Anthony’s 10th. Somers, with arguably the best player in the state in Syracuse-bound Joe Marasco, and Fox Lane will represent Section 1.
It’s a great opportunity for fans to see some of the nation’s premier programs in one venue.

Good point about Long Island, a lot of others are talking like we are declining over here. let them come on down and see what we got over here. staggering amount of quality teams and players.
In the off season long is. has numerous travel teams. Every out of State tournaments always seem to have one or two L.I teams , where as Sect 1 has only had Westrock , Epic or Renegades.that are in the general area.
