The John Jay Indians have won four straight Section 1 Class B titles.
But all those teams were mainly led by seniors. While the Indians once again have a strong senior nucleus, they also have 12 sophomores. So it should come as no surprise that while John Jay has improved since the outset of the season, it’s still searching for consistency.
That’s one of the topics we discussed with John Jay coach Nick Savastano following the Indians’ 13-12 overtime loss to Lakeland/Panas on Tuesday.
