How does Mahopac look entering the season? We’ll be keeping the perspectives of a couple of ‘Pac players.
First up is Drexel-bound midfielder TJ Foley.
An athletic, two-way midfielder who was also a standout on the Indians’ sectional finalist football team and is currently a member of the varsity basketball team, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound Foley was a standout last summer on the Hudson Valley Empire State Games team.
Here are TJ’s thoughts on the upcoming season.
What have you been doing to get ready for the season?
I play basketball in the offseason, but I have also been working out and working on my stick skills, but we play in a winter league and also have workouts everyday during the week.
How does your schedule look, including scrimmages, and what games are you looking forward to?
We have a tough schedule this year. I’m looking forward to playing Lakeland/Panas, especially after the double OT loss to them last year.
What players on your team do you think will surprise some people this season?
Anthony Berardis. He’s very fast and has a hard shot. Also, Frankie Verde and Vinny Parrillo will be strong defenders this year. They have both been working out and got much stronger and quicker.
What do you think the strength of your team will be this year?
Our D. We have four returning starters from last season with a lot of experience.
How do you view the race in Section 1 Class A and who do you think the contending teams will be?
This year, Lakeland/Panas will be very strong. They will definitely be hard to stop with a strong offense.

Everyone keeps disrespecting Mamk…
But best of luck to you this season.
Best of luck for your Senior season ! You are having a tremendous senior season so far and I have no doubt it will continue into lax season. Have fun
Best wishes for a great season in lax as you are now enjoying in basketball and already did in football.
Yeh TJ…
Pac vs LP for the title. Mark it down.
If Mamaroneck is so good, who are some of their top players???
Keep it going sonnnnn
What a senior year TJ! You led the football team to it’s first section title and best season in years. You are one of the leaders on a basketball team that is challenging for a league title. Can’t wait to see you on the lacrosse field. I’m expecting at least 40 goals this season. You’re a classy kid and you deserve the best. Good luck this season.
Great 3 sport kid-A real feat and good luck to the Pac!
