A “Dream Team” of former Syracuse stars that included Roy Colsey, the Powell brothers, Ric Beardsley, Rob Kavovit and Paul Carcaterra took on Rusty Red in the Division 1 championship game of the masters competition of the 20th annual Lake Placid Summit Classic this past weekend.

Colsey had four goals for Burnt Orange but Rusty Red won 12-10. Former Nyack and Princeton star Jon Hess and Bethpage native and former Hopkins star A.J. Haugen were among the standouts for Rusty Red.

Why are these guys playing in the masters division? With this list of players, couldn’t they do pretty well in open division?
